I guess for any comic fan, it’s gotta come back to Alan Moore. The real question is what will Pat’s reaction be? If you’ve seen the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen movie, you know that Tom Sawyer was in it, but not the comic. Is our Tom aware of this? Have any of the other characters read the stories? Is Mike aware that he’s been running around with a group that could just as easily been in Moore’s series? All good questions. Sadly, we’ll have to wait for the answer.

Does Pat know what kind of harm the Doctor could cause? How could he not, right? We already know what he’s been up to, and it’s nothing good. Despite Pat’s effort to play things down and keep everything low key, the Doctor is in trouble. He just doesn’t know it yet.
Well, the holidays are over and we’re back. Hopefully everyone had a great time, came up with some really good resolutions. My own resolution is to finish this first story and get it to print. I’m scripted almost to the end of the story, I’ve penciled up to about the middle of the last chapter, and I’m inked up to page 8 of the last chapter. So things are coming together. Hopefully, I’ll be able to keep up the two page a week schedule through the end of the tale. As a bit of a warning, I’m going back to school to get my Masters degree in addition to working a full time job, and taking my three kids to their various activities. It turns out that last one could be a full time job. We’ve got one on a swim team, which is a crazy schedule, two doing gymnastics, two doing school orchestra, one in the school chorus. Anyway, the schedule will be crazy over the next six months (no grad classes over the summer) so forgive me if I miss an update here and there.
And things are just getting started. Dr. Frankenstein believes genetic manipulation of the human race is the only way to save humanity. I doubt he’s feeling at all bad about a little colateral damage.
The Dr. is attacking the Twain dimension, and he’s taking the agents with him. With this page we start the final chapter of this story. The agents are going to attack Tom’s home town like a swarm of angry bees in an effort to maintain an outpost so the Dr. can prove to his government minders that he’s found either a way to travel around the world or between dimensions. He’s not really sure what he’s found yet. Tom is going to try to get everyone to the comic shop in his town so Pat can try to fix things from his seat of power. A lot’s going to happen before this arc gets wrapped up, so stay tuned.
The agents are on the march and Dr. Frankenstein is at the lead. Conquering multiple universes and dimensions sounds like a big job, but I guess the Dr. feels he’s up to it.
